Одещина знову приміряє на себе роль центру українського бавовництва. Забута на десятиліття культура повертається на поля південного регіону, цього разу не лише як сировина для легкої промисловості, а й як стратегічний ресурс для оборонного комплексу країни.
Ініційовані державою та підхоплені місцевими аграріями експериментальні проєкти з вирощування бавовнику демонструють обнадійливі результати, відкриваючи нові перспективи для аграрного сектору та зміцнення економічної й оборонної незалежності України.
Зокрема, одне з агропідприємств, яке входить до складу організації водокористувачів «Вода життя», вже другий рік поспіль вирощує бавовник і цього сезону тестує одразу 12 сортів.
